San Francisco, May 16, 2012?Andy Cunningham, president, Bite Communications North America today announced the promotion of two long-term Bite veterans, Bill Danon and Will Willis, from vice president to senior vice president.
Based in Bite?s San Francisco office, Danon will continue to lead both global and U.S.-focused engagements with clients such as Lithium Technologies, Nicira and Parallels, while also strategically overseeing all accounts and projects generated from the San Francisco office.
Willis, who is based in New York, will serve as the East Coast head of Bite, and continue to direct engagements with clients including Broadcom, Nokia and Sony.
Both will report directly to Cunningham.
?Bill and Will have demonstrated exceptional capacities for developing and leading the best strategic communication programs possible to help our clients win in the marketplace,? said Cunningham. ?The significant leadership skills that they bring to the table have been?and will continue to be?crucial to Bite?s continued momentum to build and grow presence in North America.?
Danon has 14 years? experience in technology and marketing, eight of which have been spent at Bite, and has served as lead for clients spanning the consumer electronics, digital entertainment and enterprise technology spaces. Industry-leading technology brands he has represented throughout his career have included HP, PayPal, WIRED, Skype, TiVo, Dolby, Oracle, Alibaba.com, Parallels, Autodesk and a raft of smaller innovators like Nicira who are disrupting big markets.
?Bill Danon?s leadership makes our Bite Communications global PR teams run like a Swiss watch,? said John Uppendahl, senior director of global communications, Parallels. ?He adds value, is a great person to collaborate with and helps us consistently deliver quality brand-building coverage for Parallels.?
A hallmark of Danon?s Bite Communications work focuses on aligning strategy, message and delivery channels to most effectively translate technology benefits into end-user action?whether that?s spurring TV addicts to plunk down for a new set-top box, convincing companies to incorporate social communities into their marketing mix, or confronting office workers to change their poor online security habits.
?Bill has been a key advisor as we continue to build our leadership position in social customer experience,? said Michael Paige, director of corporate communications, Lithium Technologies. ?Taking customer success personally and playing with excellence for the team are two of Lithium?s core values, and Bill embodies these. His strategic counsel and collaborative approach help ensure our messages are amplified and make the strongest impact possible among our most important targets.?
Prior to his tenure in technology public relations, Danon managed Internet product development and marketing efforts for top publishing houses Houghton Mifflin and Pearson. He holds an M.A. from Stanford and B.A. from Dartmouth College.
Will Willis to lead East Coast Bite presence
