About 90 students at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY walked out of class yesterday to protest what they perceive to be a lowering of academic standards at the school. One of the protestors told the Times: "Our core mission is to protect the reputation of the institution and the value of the diploma." The school's provost claims that the school's academic standards are actually going up. [NYT via Eater National]
